The ICU is proud to report that we have agreed to a partnership with Chess.com.

The reason we have chosen Chess.com as the ICU’s official online partner and place to play chess online is that Chess.com has the largest number of Irish members of the online chess platforms (approximately 62,000). This provides us with significant exposure to Irish chess players with whom we may not ordinarily have had direct contact. The main focus of this partnership is to grow our membership. However, we also hope that this will enable us to attract greater investment, provide more events for our members (hosted online by Chess.com) and invest the affiliate % we will receive from ICU members subscribing to Chess.com premium memberships in Irish chess.

The ICU will have a landing page on Chess.com going forward, as well as a fan club and rights to blogs and event promotion on their site.
