The European Youth Championship 2016 ran from Aug 17th - 28th in Prague, Czechia.

12 Irish Juniors played accross all age categories, U8 - U18.

Final Day

Top 10 finish for Admira in U10G on 6.5/9.

Conor on 5/9 in the U18B and Diana on 4.5/9 U16G

Well done to all 12 players.

Day 9

4.5 for team Ireland. Wins for Darragh, Leire and Admira (seeded 49th) who goes into the final round on 5.5/8 in 14th place. A win in the final round should see her well into the top ten.

Day 8

Ireland secure 7/12 with wins for Diana, Admira (now both on 4.5/7), Luke, Daniel and Will and 4 draws.

Day 7

Following the rest day, Ireland score 3/12 with Will getting off the mark.

Days 4 & 5

Two tough days for Ireland scoring 3.5 and 2.5 respectively.

Day 3

An excellent win for Conor to be only one of four on 3/3 and earn him a match on board 2 vs Armenian IM Manuel Petrosyan (2512). One of 6 wins for squad.

Day 2

Luke and Robbie are first to breakthrough the seeding. The other 8 go with seeding, with Conor unbeaten on 2/2. There were 2 byes.

Day 1

All went per seeding for the Irish 12 with wins for Conor, Diana and Admira. There was 1 bye.

Travel Day

All roads lead to Prague for the opening ceremony at 19.30.
