The ICU is pleased to announce that two norm events will be held from 13th-17th April 2017 in the Rose Hotel, Tralee, Co Kerry. These events are being organised to provide Irish players with the opportunity of achieving GM & IM norms in Ireland. Alongside these events there will also be two sections for players who wish to participate in a 9-round FIDE Rated All-Play-All event. The four sections will consist of:
- Section A – A 10 player all-play-all event with the possibility of GM & IM norms
- Section B – A 10 player all-play-all event with the possibility of IM norms
- Section C – A 10 player all-play-all event for players rated over 1900
- Section D – A 10 player all-play-all event open to any player regardless of rating
