Provincial Websites
The four provinces of Ireland (Connacht, Leinster, Munster and Ulster) each have their own
chess organisations and two of them also run web sites.
- Leinter Chess Union

Features information about current and past LCU league (Armstrong Cup, Heidenfeld Trophy,
Ennis Shield, O'Hanlon Cup, BEA Cup, Bodley Cup) and cup (Branagan Shield, Killane Shield,
William Brennan Trophy) team competitions and a new blog (since 2009). Since 2011 the LCU
have also run a separate site, Leinster Junior Chess,
associated with a development programme for juniors.
- Ulster Chess Union

The Ulster Chess Union was formed in 1932. It was affiliated to the Irish Chess Union
until 2005 when it's members voted to engage independently with world chess authorities.
The web site has been in operation since 2006 and contains sections on ratings (including
game histories), news, tournament reports, clubs, schools chess and coaching.
