Weighted Average Ratings
Weighted average ratings (WAR) are used by ICU selection committees to help determine team composition and board order for international events. Three year weighted averages are taken over ICU and FIDE ratings - for more details see this article. The following table lists the current top 50, taking into account the latest available ICU (2012/01) and FIDE (2011/11) rating lists.
