County Down Juniors: prize-winners from 11 Oct 2025

The FIDE rated County Down Junior Championships were held at Bangor Chess Club on Saturday 11 October 2025. It was 10 rounds of 10+5 and players travelled from all over Ireland. To keep everyone involved, a separate adult section was also held in the playing hall and this was free for chess parents, grandparents, uncles and older siblings. Chief Arbiter: Brendan Jamison, Deputy Arbiter: Paul O'Connor.

On the other side of the main hall on Saturday 11 October, we ran a FIDE rapid for adults alongside the County Down Juniors. We awarded 9 prizes:
