DGT and Quality Chess Offers

John McMorrow

DGT Equipment Offer

At the recent FIDE Congress in Turkey, DGT announced they wished to help support the development of chess by giving Federations the opportunity to purchase DGT equipment at a highly reduced rate including electronic boards and clocks. In our first offering, the price of clocks came out at around €20 per DGT2010 clock and €25 per DGT3000 clock once delivery and VAT were applied. This is a significant reduction on the usual price and we are delighted that Irish clubs availed of this offer with more than 350 clocks bought. Boards & sets costs €7.50.

On our next order, we will be offering ICU clubs the opportunity to purchase the full range of equipment offered in this deal which can be seen in the images/press release below.

If you are interested in taking up this offer, please email [email protected] (and CC [email protected]) with the title ‘New DGT Equipment’, stating the club/organisation you represent, and the equipment you would be interested in buying. This equipment will be available for pick-up from Gonzaga College.

Expressions of interest should be serious, so that we can progress with DGT and FIDE. Once any final agreement is in place, we will write again to those who reply, to agree numbers and an exact price.
