This year's Christmas Blitz took place on Wednesday 19th December in the Elm Mount Chess Club's premises in the Ierne Sports and Social club in Drumcondra. 43 players took part and competed in 6 separate all play all groups. The winner of Section A, and Leinster Blitz Champion for 2018, was Elm Mount's David Fitzsimons IM. The prize winners were spread across a range of Leinster Clubs.
