This year's annual LCU Christmas Blitz took place on Wednesday 11th December in the Ierne Sports and Social Club, home of the Elm Mount Chess Club.

The event was contested by 42 players in five different groups and the Title of Leinster Blitz Champion for 2019 goes to David Fitzsimons IM winner of Section A. The other section winners were Vjekaslav Novak (Section B), Max Tempany (Section C), Cillian Scallan (Section D) and Gliozeris Mandaugas (Section E).
