Ireland is set to stage at the 44th FIDE Chess Olympiad 2022 in Chennai. The 2022 Olympiad has surpassed all records with a whopping 188 and 162 Countries in Open and Women's categories, respectively. The event commences on 28th July and Round 1 starts at 10:30 Irish Time. Before Team Ireland heads to Chennai, we Irish Chess Union and well-wishers have made a video to boost Team Ireland.

Irish Chess Union thanks all the well-wishers for taking the time to cheer for Ireland. They had a lot to say about our Team, but sadly we had to trim a few bits to make this a short yet cheerful video. A longer version will be posted soon.
