Tournament details: FIDE RATED Northern Ireland Youth Blitz Championship 2026 Players living outside Northern Ireland are welcome to compete and are eligible to win all trophies on offer. Wednesday 8 April 2026 (the day after Easter Tuesday, during school holidays) Free parking at venue. Train station is 15-20 minutes walking. Belfast bus stops on the Main Street in Moira 12 rounds of 5+5 (with a 1 hour lunch break – players can bring a pack-lunch and eat in the relaxation room) Check-in open from 10:10 to 10:15. Pairings will be displayed at 10:15. Please take seats by 10:25 Rounds 1-6 will be played back-to-back from 10:30 to 13:00 Lunch break: 13:00 to 14:00 Rounds 7-12 will be played back-to-back from 14:00 to 16:30. Prize-giving at 16:30 Venue: Moira Presbyterian Church, 14-18 Meeting Street, Moira, BT67 0NR, Northern Ireland Type: Swiss pairings FIDE rules will apply. Remember mobile phones must be switched off and no food allowed in playing hall during games. We have a separate room for parents to relax in and for players to eat in. Tournament entry fees: 12.50 Euro or 10 GBP. All players must pay in advance by bank transfer, Revolut or PayPal. No cash will be handled at the venue.
