The closing time for entries is almost upon us with the deadline for entries being midnight Friday. If your name is not listed here yet, don’t panic. It will be!

Pairings for round one will be on Saturday morning. A properly run Fide rated event cannot publish the pairings and then accept entries so we have given people up to Friday midnight and only then the pairings will be published on Saturday morning.

It is shaping up to be a very competitive event with 4 players from the top 10 in Ireland (Fide rating – which takes precedence in all Fide rated events) and 6 players from the top 14 set to battle it out. Along with a few of Ireland’s most promising juniors.

In a time honored tradition associated with the Irish ch, and the Senior section in particular, many players don’t get around to actually confirming 100 percent that they have entered, and will indeed be playing, until the very last moment.
