On a positive note, discussions are taking place concurrently after which it is hoped the result will be the confirmation and announcement of the dates and venue for the 2016 Irish championships within days.
This would be a big step forward for the event and enable lessons learned from this year's event be put into practice with plenty of time in advance to more effectively manage and utilize the resources of the ICU and the broader Irish chess community.
