The Irish Chess Union

The Irish Championships will be held in a central Dublin hotel during the first week of July. The event has attracted substantial sponsorship and will be open to non-Irish nationals and has no lower grading limit (i.e. anyone can play, although the entry fee is inversely proportional to rating). Please note that the entry fees are slightly different to the previously advertised fees. The highest placed Irish player will be declared Irish champion. Enough titled players have already entered to guarantee both GM and IM norm chances. Further details.
