The City of Dublin Championships will be held between the 31st August and the 2nd September in its now customary venue of An Óige. With a prize fund of 5,000 and its convenient location a few minutes from O'Connell Street, we can look forward to another fine tournament from the team of Germaine and Fitzsimons. Last year's tournament featured a mix of several titled players and a collection of strong juniors, with Karl McPhillips emerging the winner on tie-break.
