In other news, the City of Dublin was won last weekend by GM Alexander Baburin, on 5/6. In spite of conceding a draw to Gerry O'Connell in a tense first round game, Baburin went on to top the field. FM Colm Daly's draw with Baburin kept him in the running, but his travelling bye cost him in the end. Also competing were IM Mark Heidenfeld and last year's champion Karl McPhillips.
