The future of Tournament reporting in Ireland?

The recent Galway Congress was the first weekender in Ireland to feature live games broadcast on the ICU site. While it didn’t go perfectly smoothly, it was a great learning experience for me (Gerry Graham) and because of this, and the fact that DGT have replaced the less than perfect TOMA software, I now feel that transmitting live games from Irish weekenders will be a regular and reliable experience.

I am also using a new pairing program called Swiss Master which has a number of advantages over the current main system in use Ireland, Swiss Perfect. It reports to web site much more easily and in a better way. Swiss Master reports are full of links, click on a player's name and you get a list of his full tournament games.

This type of report can be easily uploaded after each round, keeping people up to date as the tournament progresses. You can also use it to check your rating change (unofficial) after the event, any queries, please email .
