Details of this year's Irish Chess Championship have been announced - it will be held in the GreenIsle Hotel, Naas Road, Dublin and will be run by Sean Hewitt of e2e4 fame. Those of you who have played in any of the British events run by e2e4 Chess will know how professionally run these tournaments are. Those of you who haven't yet done so can experience it for yourselves at this year's Irish Chess Championships. Also, please note that the winner of the title of Irish Senior Chess Champion 2011 will win an automatic place on the Irish Olympiad team of 2012 which will be held in Istanbul, Turkey.
