A new chess charity is about to spring to life, with the full blessing of the ICU. A steering committee of Kevin O'Connell, Barbara Magee, Rory Delaney, John Alfred and Darko Polimac is working on the final implementation. The project that began life last year, received ICU blessing at the end of 2010, and the steering committee was formed this year, with its first meeting taking place in April.
The principal objective is to get chess into every school in Ireland, but you can read more (mercifully just a short document) in the vision document.
