This year's Mick Germaine Cup competition took place on Saturday 21st April 2012 in the Teachers Club, in Dublin city centre. Eight teams competed for the Cup on an all play all basis with Rathmines A winning the Cup for the second year in succession with a score of 25½/32 followed by Shankill A who finished 1½ points behind them, with both teams well ahead of the rest of the field. Malahide finished in third position.
Michael Halpenny (Shankill A) and Michael Higgins (Rathmines A) both scored a maximum 7/7. Scott Mulligan and Oscar Twomey (both Rathmines A) scored 6½/7 and Jim O'Reilly (Shankill A) scored 6/7.
