The 12th Malahide Millennium Tournament (incorporating the Leinster Championships) took place at the weekend (May 5-7) in the Dublin Airport Hilton Hotel, Malahide Road.
Something that only became known as the event got underway was that this was the centenary Leinster Championship.
Junior: 1st-4th Gerard Wallace, Austin Blake, Brian McGrath and Mervyn Honner 5/6; Grading Prizes Padraig Hughes, Des Martin, Agnieszka Pozniak, Adam Bermingham, Michael Higgins and Jim O'Reilly.
Intermediate: 1st Carl Jackson 5.5/6; 2nd Sean Nolan 5/6; 3rd-5th Kieran Rogers, Valentine Kalinins and Paul Reilly 4/6; Grading Prizes Stephen Kelly and Shahram Nikrow.
Senior: 1st Petar Arnaudov [IM] 5/6; 2nd-4th Krasimir Rusev [GM], Colm Daly [FM] and David Fitzsimons 4.5/6; Grading Prize Rory Delaney.
The 2012 Leinster Champions are: Junior Gerard Wallace; Intermediate Carl Jackson; Senior Colm Daly [FM].
