The 2012 Irish Championships took place 7-15 July. Juri Firstov (Estonia) came 1st on tie break from Stephen Brady and Colm Daly (all scoring 6½ points), with the latter two being declared joint 2012 Irish Champions. As well as the championship itself, the Intermediate (1500-1899) and Junior (U1500) championships were held over the 7/8th weekend while there there was also an Open Weekender on 14/15th.
